A man of 30 years old of Gatineau was arrested Wednesday for criminal offences relating to child pornography. Stéphane Labye appeared at the courthouse in Gatineau under charges of possession, production and distribution of child pornography, as well as non-compliance with a probation.

“The survey tends to demonstrate that this individual contacted women on an application of meeting and talking to these past holding about of a sexual nature about children under the age of 16 years,” said the Sûreté du Québec in a press release, without providing more information.

A search was conducted at the home of the suspect, where computer equipment was seized for analysis.
