The investigation of the death of the cyclist Clement Ouimet is still ongoing and it is unknown if criminal charges will be filed against the driver of u.s. 59-year-old having struck fatally, two weeks ago, on mount Royal in Montreal.

In effect, there would have been a communication error within the Montreal police, who said Tuesday morning that charges of criminal negligence causing death would be filed against the driver at fault.

However, the investigation is not yet completed, and for the time being, the driver will not be accused of anything.

However, it is not excluded that he may face justice in the near future, once the dossier will be submitted to the Director of criminal and penal prosecutions.

Last October 4, the driver of California would have made illegally in a turn, half-turn on the Camilien-Houde while Clement Ouimet went down to the coast steep bike in the same direction.

The young biker of 18 years was then hit, head-on the SUV and died of his injuries a few hours later.
