Wednesday morning, investigators of the police of Trois-Rivières have conducted a search in the apartment of the man, who lives on the rue Saint-Joseph in Champlain. The police were looking for evidence in connection with a record of fraud.

The previous day, the policemen were greeted by a man who was armed and threatening, while they went at Steve Soucy to enforce an arrest warrant issued against him by the court. The accused had failed to appear before the court Monday.

The scenario repeats for this man 45 years of age. In three months, this is the second time that he holds the police in suspense. “It was hysterical. We got his wife, who was inside, and we did call the emergency response team of the Sûreté du Québec,” explained Luc Mongrain, a spokesman for the police of Trois-Rivières.

Last November, Steve Soucy had fled after allegedly committed assault on his wife. His mare had lasted for three long days, before ending when the police had found in a cottage, within a perimeter surrounded by the police.

Steve Soucy was at the hospital on Wednesday to undergo tests. On Tuesday, he allegedly swallowed a cocktail of drugs had to be stopped by the police. VAT News has learned that he will face charges of assault with a weapon, threatening death to the place of the police and a breach of condition.
