The leader of the green Party of Canada, Elizabeth May, has been arrested by the RCMP Friday afternoon while participating in a protest against the pipeline Morgan Kinder in British Columbia.
Ms. May, as well as the mp néodémocrate Kennedy Stewart, have defied a Court order by protesting against the proposed Trans Mountain in a prohibited area in Burnaby. They were accompanied by nearly a hundred people came to support them in the fight against the pipeline that has already received the approval of the federal government.
The leader of the green Party was one of the first people to be arrested by the agents of the RCMP.
