Belgian and German experts have determined which factors have the greatest impact on certain manifestations of female sexuality, reports Rus.Media. As it turned out, it all depends on the hormone kisspeptin – it is responsible for attraction to the opposite sex.

Experts from the University of Saarland and the University of liège conducted an experiment in which studied the amygdala located in the brain of mice – it depends on the emotional background and sexual behavior of the animal. During the study, scientists have found neurons that are sensitive to the hormone kisspeptin. As soon as they are activated, the rodents become more involved in social life and devote much more attention from the opposite sex.

According to experts, the females of the experimental mice for the activation of kisspeptin respond to pheromones that distinguish males. Also in the experiment it turned out that kisspeptin serves as a link between ovulation, puberty and sexual desire. In the future this discovery will help researchers create a cure for women who are faced with various sexual disorders.
