MONT-TREMBLANT | A cyclist has died after being struck by a sport utility vehicle that was stopped on the chemin Duplessis, Saturday morning, at Mont-Tremblant, in the Laurentians.

The tragedy happened at 10: 30.

The man who was training for the “Iron Man” would have smashed into the rear of the vehicle.

It seems that the driver of the SUV, a native of Massachusetts, would be locked-in to pass cars who wanted to get into the parking lot, said Sunday the captain of the operations of the police Department of the City of Mont-Tremblant, Alexandre Boucher.

The cyclist suffered significant injuries and was transported to the hospital of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. However, given the magnitude of these , it had to be transferred to the hospital of Saint-Jerome, where his death has been found.

No charges will be laid, as it is an accident.

Sunday morning, police were on the scene again in order to make prevention.
