Fire in a residence at Beauport

    QUEBEC – A single family house, one floor has been heavily damaged by a fire, in the night from Wednesday to Thursday, in the area of Beauport in Quebec city.

    According to preliminary information, the fire broke out around midnight at the back of the residence, located on the rue Julie.

    “A part of the roof collapsed,” said fire Department of Laval.

    The four residents, two adults and two children, have been evacuated and taken care of by the Red Cross.

    The two neighboring residences were also evacuated as a precautionary measure.

    No one was injured.

    Twenty firefighters were needed to fight the blaze.

    The cause of the fire remain unknown.
