Fraud: the police of Gatineau trying to identify a suspect

    January 24, 2018 The police of Gatineau is seeking to identify a man suspected of having committed a fraud. The man wanted by police has carried out two transactions on 16 and 17 November last, in the municipalities of Gasselman and Ottawa with this new credit card. A third transaction was also carried out in a service station in Laval.

    GATINEAU | The police of Gatineau request the assistance of the public to identify a man suspected of having committed a fraud.

    The suspect would have first contacted the banking institution of the victim in order to make changes to his credit card account. These changes would then be permitted to make an application for a new credit card under a false name.

    The man wanted by police has carried out two transactions on 16 and 17 November last, in the municipalities of Gasselman and Ottawa with this new credit card. A third transaction was also carried out in a service station in Laval.

    The suspect is between the ages of 35 and 45 years old. He has dark hair and short and a beard partially dark.
