A former member of street gang, who was sentenced in 2008 for the murder of a man he had mistaken for a rival, just failed in his application to be released from prison.

In 2005, when he was 17 years of age, Gregory Ryan Dardignac was taken, with several of his cronies, Raymond Ellis, in fact, a young business man of 25 years. The latter died after the attack in which he had been beaten and stabbed 11 times.

Dardignac has even been tried as an adult and sentenced to life in prison for second-degree murder.

    Unacceptable risk

The parole Board of Canada (PBC) has not wanted that it covers a day parole or a full parole at a hearing in December, saying that to do so would present ” an unacceptable risk to society “, noting “his willingness to make long-lasting changes” in his life.

“You have success very interesting since the beginning of your incarceration. […] Your progress is insufficient to earn, at this stage of your award, an enlargement in the community, ” according to the PBC, adding that they are too recent.

It is noted that Dardignac, today 29 years old, confessed to having stopped using the drug only in July 2017 and that he has difficulty getting away from dating negative.
