GATINEAU – A driver 38-year-old was arrested Thursday night in Gatineau after being involved in a road exit, then that it had more than four times the limit of alcohol permitted in the blood.
A little before 20 h, the police have been called to make in the rue Gamelin, not far from the intersection of the boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes, where a swing had taken place.
When they arrived on the scene, the officers met with the driver and noted signs of alcohol intoxication.
“This last was then transported to the police station to [be submitted] to a breathalyzer test. The results showed a blood alcohol level more than four times higher than the limit permitted by law”, has informed the police of Gatineau by way of a press release.
Once the test is completed, the woman was released on a promise to appear. Charges of driving with ability impaired and driving a motor vehicle with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood will be submitted to the Director of criminal and penal prosecutions.
His vehicle was seized for a period of 30 days and his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days.
