It became known that German soldiers to participate in the mission of NATO is not enough tents, winter forms and body armor.

German soldiers are unable to participate in the mission of rapid reaction forces NATO, as they do not have the proper equipment. In 2019 it is planned to transfer to Germany the command of the NATO response. However, the German defense Ministry said that the country lacks serviceable tanks, helicopters and other army equipment. In other words the German Army is not ready for such a serious and responsible step on how to become participants in missions the NATO response.

Note, initially it was assumed that the number of troops in the rapid reaction force was in the range of 3 to 5 thousand soldiers, but in connection with the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine, the Alliance has proposed to increase the number of soldiers up to 30-40 thousand military. These soldiers should be experts in their field and ready to go at any time to perform combat tasks within 2-3 days.
