Four people were killed in the explosion of a building Sunday night at Leicester, in England, the origin of which has not been linked to terrorist activity, has announced that the british police Monday.
“Four people died in the explosion that occurred at a property in Leicester yesterday evening,” explained the local police in a press release.

In addition, four people are still hospitalized, including one with serious injury, indicates the police of this city in the centre of England.
The building affected by the explosion “consisted of a local commercial on the ground floor and a duplex apartment above. We believe that there may be people who have not yet been taken into account and the rescue efforts continue to find other victims,” said superintendent Shane O’neill, quoted in this press release.
“Once the site is deemed safe, an investigation will be conducted with the emergency services and fire departments to review the circumstances surrounding the accident, which at this stage are not related to terrorism”, he adds.
Six fire crews are on site, including a team of search and rescue specialist with two search dogs.
The power supply of a number of dwellings has been affected by the incident and a security cordon has been put in place but no houses neighbouring the tragedy had to be evacuated in the night.
