In December 2017, a man of 36 years that we cannot name to protect the identity of the victim has pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and forcible confinement.
A year ago, the man and his victim were living together for four years, have chosen to put an end to their union of which came from one child and another was on the point of coming into the world.
During the fall, on two occasions, the man had been violent, but on the 17th of December 2016, the violence reached its peak when the young mother who had just given birth was presented to the family residence there for his boxes.
“I went into the laundry room and he closed the door. He had a knife in his hands, pants and boxers down and he asked me to suck it,” said the young woman, Tuesday, in the framework of the representations on the sentence.

“My baby was in his moses. To be able to join, I had to move to the side of my former partner… but as I didn’t know if he was really unconscious or if he was just pretending, I chose to leave my baby in the house to go out in search of help with my oldest in arms,” she dropped, visibly shaken.
As the prosecutor, Geneviève Corriveau, calls for a sentence of penitentiary varying from four and a half years to five years, and that the defense attorney, Me Jean-Philippe Lanthier, request “time”, since his client has been detained since his arrest, the judge Pierre Rousseau took everything under advisement and will issue his sentence on march 22.
