“Last year, I felt as if I was falling to the ground and die. This year, I was a little better prepared. I can still stand and walk,” said Mr. Cincotti, who has swallowed nearly five pounds of poutine more than its nearest rival.

It must be said that in 2016, Carmen Cincotti had established a new global brand, never equalled since, consuming only 25.5 pounds of poutine.

The event, organized by the chain in ontario Smoke’s Poutinerie has helped raise $ 50,000 for a charity that helps children with disabilities.

As for the American, he walked away with a prize of $ 3000, a trophy and a lot of chips to digest.
