    While several mps have already announced that they will seek not re-election, several new faces will be necessarily entered the national Assembly in October 2018. Among them, several people already working in politics aspire to win a seat.

    Here is a list of political employees who have announced or who are considering to be a candidate at the next election:

    The founder and ex-head of Option nationale, Jean-Martin Aussant, has announced last week that he was returning to his “natural family”, the Parti québécois.

    The one who currently works as an advisor to the chief and the vice-head of the party will be candidate for the nomination in Pointe-aux-Trembles, where he will face the current president of the Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Maxime Laporte.

    The former candidate for the leadership of the parti québecois and special advisor Jean-François Lisée will be in line for the nomination in the new riding of Prévost.

    Freshly invested in Taschereau, Florent Tanlet will, for a second time in a row the colours of the liberal Party in this constituency. In 2014, the current press attaché to the minister of Labour, Dominique Vien, and had lost the county by a small advance of 451 votes in favour of Agnès Maltais.

    The one who has suffered a defeat in the last by-election in Richelieu will try once more to delight the county of Richelieu. Mr. Emond is currently acting as political attaché to the member for Montarville Nathalie Roy. In addition to being the chairman of the local action committee CAQ-Richelieu, it is also one of the founding members of the party.

She was also the press attaché of Lucien Bouchard Bloc québécois in the early 90’s. Évelyn Abitbol is the founder of the Foundation Raif Badawi for freedom.
