Huawei: 6 GB of RAM, for what?

Techno 7 March, 2017

The Huawei P10 is equipped with 4 GB of RAM. Why not 6 GB? A frame of the brand gave an explanation!
On February 26, Huawei formalized its Huawei P10 as part of the MWC 2017 . We discovered a smartphone of quality, with a revisited design, a Kirin 960 processor (already embedded by the Mate 9), a battery of 3300 mAh and a double photo sensor signed Leica. But if the data sheet has been approved overall, a particular point has sparked debate … This is the RAM, which offers “only” 4 GB unlike some of its competitors. Why not opt for 6 GB of RAM like OnePlus with OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T? Lao Shi, a Chinese company executive, gave his opinion on the topic on the Weibo social network.
For Lao Shi, a 4GB RAM is enough to run a smartphone as it should, especially when it is accompanied by a powerful processor. In the case of the Huawei P10, the Kirin 960 associated with 4 GB of RAM offers very satisfactory performance . If the Chinese manufacturer did not opt for 6 GB of RAM, it is also because he wanted to control the costs of his flagship. The addition of 2 GB would have resulted in a price increase that Huawei wanted to avoid. Note however that the Huawei P10 Plus – smartphone from which the message was written – is proposed in a 4 GB version of RAM … and a 6 GB version of RAM. If you are kissing the Huawei P10, test your knowledge about it . Do you validate Lao Shi?
