I replaced my iPhone 7 by a HTC U11 for a test, my impressions

Techno 27 July, 2017

It’s been a week since I use a HTC U11 instead of my iPhone 7. Thanks to its uncompromising technical sheet and its Edge Sense, the Taiwanese smartphone regaled me.

With the HTC U11, the Taiwanese manufacturer is back in force. This new flagship is equipped with a formidable technical sheet, and its many features have everything to please. Excellent photophone, the HTC U11 is very convenient to use. Aesthetically, it is as seductive as an iPhone 7. But it is a shame that the navigation buttons are misplaced. Fortunately, the 5.5 inch screen of the U11 reminds us that we are dealing with an excellent terminal. Without being wow, the quality of the display is good. And if you have trouble with colors a little too cold, you can easily adjust them at the parameters.

Interface side, the smartphone runs Android 7.1.1, and HTC Sense Companion really facilitates the user experience. Personally, I have kiffé the evolution of the audio system of this smartphone, compared to the range One. But the real surprise on this HTC U11 is the Edge Sense feature. Certainly, it is not very intuitive but, it remains very practical. Performance level, Snapdragon 835 and 4 GB of RAM met all my expectations. The U11 never looked back on what I had just asked. And in a week, I did not encounter any bug on the Taiwanese flagship even if the smartphone heats up quickly, when we spend too much time on the video games. But hey, I’m not gonna make it difficult.

And even if it is only equipped with a (small) 3000 mAh battery, the HTC U11 is a good student in terms of autonomy. If you do not use too many greedy applications, the smartphone can easily hold the day. But if you want to film in 4K, it can be fatal for the life of its battery. So you understood. Without being wow, the HTC U11 seems to be the most balanced smartphone on the market. And you can shopper it now, by HERE.
