    Look at this article

A convention of the PQ would not be a convention of the PQ without a little suspense.

At the end of the week, as we will not be on the referendum question, you will meet the iron around the imposition of bill 101 at the cegep level.

The chief is against it. Thirty associations of electoral districts would force its hand.

    Real problem

As soon as the free choice becomes possible, it is thousands of the French-speaking spin around the cégeps anglophones, and this number has never ceased to grow.

The number of English speakers who choose a college that is francophone is ridiculously low. It surprise you ?

No one can reasonably object to a knowledge of the English language by a young French-speaking Quebec. It is a basic need.

If both of them race towards the cegep in English for learn this language, that says it all about the poor quality of his teaching, however, mandatory for years in previous cycles.

There are good arguments for extending bill 101 to cegep.

It is long established that the language of graduate studies — college and university — strongly influences the main language spoken then at work.

The objection of the limitation of the freedom of the individual to forget that a college education is 100% funded by the government of Quebec.

It is not true that the future of French is only the individual responsibility of each French-speaking, although this one is real.

If the responsibility was individual, why have formerly adopted the law 101 ?

Does it not already enough English in the ecosystem of young francophone Quebecers today ?

By the way, would it not also time to focus on these young anglophones or allophones born here, perfectly unable to hold a basic conversation in French, the language that they often scorn openly ?

In the case of young people of immigrant origin, I suspect that the original culture has a lot to do in their anglicization future or not.

If they are, say, Latin american, their francization is ensured. If their parents come from India or Pakistan, their anglicization is practically pre-programmed for historical reasons. The Quebec French speaking would help if it targeted in its immigration.

Yet, despite the relevant arguments in favour of bill 101 to the cegep, Mr. Lisée was right to take it away.

    Attract

The PQ is desperately in need of votes. It is his top priority if he wants to avoid the debacle.

Impose bill 101 in cegep, he would win it support among young people ? Of course not. Bring it to him people gone elsewhere ? Not more.

Is there the slightest beginning of a social consensus for this measure ? No. No advertising outside of the fringe the more militant of the nationalist movement.

Sometimes, a valid idea has the disadvantage of not be in line with the requirements ultra-pragmatic at the time.
