In Syria, the Kurds repelled the militants largest oil field

Supported by the U.S.-led coalition troops, the Kurds were able to oust the militants in Syria from the territory of the largest deposits. At the moment it fully came under the control of the troops of the PKK.

The Western press claims that the Kurds have moved since the fighting in the province of Deir ez-Zor and as a result has able to capture the oil field al-Omar.
