In the Syrian Christian churches return icon kidnapped by terrorists. This is reported by the domestic media.

 

As it became known, three antique relics have returned to their old place. Currently they are in Maaloula: the village, located five kilometers from Damascus. The other two previously stolen icons at the moment are preserved in the Damascus and will soon be transported to a different Church. Religious relics were able to seize on the borders of Lebanon and Syria. It is known that representatives of radical Islamic organizations were going to implement them on the black market.

Maaloul today is considered one of the cities where still talking in the language of Jesus Christ Aramaic. There are such a temple, like the monastery of St. Sergius, Church of St. Elijah, the monastery of St. Thecla, they are undergoing services.
