Imagine having to hide one of the most powerful hurricanes ever recorded on earth with three babies under the age of 6 months. This is what had to be a young mom who lives in the british Virgin islands, according to the Daily Mail.

The three girls, Beatrice, Charlotte and Isabella, would be the youngest survivors of hurricane Irma who was devastated on Wednesday this territory belonging to the United Kingdom, according to the newspaper.

Their mother, Kate Jackson, kept in the most secure of the house while the winds were at 300 km/h on the outside.

Their residence would have been severely damaged, according to the sister of Ms. Jackson, Christine.

“It really is a relief to know that they are correct, she told the Daily Mail. Hundreds of other people trying to join their family. There is no phone line or internet since Wednesday.”

“I imagine they have called me with an emergency number, because Alex [the husband] could not talk to me for a long time”, she added.

Christine Jackson says it is also concerned for the future, the young family with no shelter while another hurricane, Jose, is about to hit the british Virgin islands.

“I have not slept, she explained. These girls are so young, these are the two worst days of my life.”
