In the Philippines, in one of the hospitals a young woman gave birth to a baby with a congenital defect of the skull. Because of him, the head of the newborn formed a tumor-like horn.

 

Pregnancy young women 9 months passed very well, nothing boded trouble. During a visit to the doctors during pregnancy, no one has revealed such an anomaly, so after the child’s birth parents were shocked. The little boy was immediately sent for analysis. It turned out that while in the womb, the child has developed a tumor – encephalocele. Fortunately, after a thorough study of a tumor by a group of surgeons, it was found that it is benign and has not touched the brain of the baby. They assured the parents that after surgery to remove the encephalocele, the child will quickly go on the amendment.

Encephalocele is a malformation of the skull and sometimes the brain, where in some cases part of the medulla is on the outside of the skull. This can sometimes be the result of a defect which occurs in inert tissue. On the head to form tumors of various sizes, it can be removed with surgery with complete closure of the defect on the bone of the skull.
