    A young man of the Laurentians clings to his dream of being able to find the motocross tracks after a serious accident, which could have cost him his life, not once, but twice.

    “I was no longer able to move. I felt the blood in my mouth, ” confides Samuel Ducharme, 18 years. I was convinced that I’d never be able to walk. “

    The doctors chose not to operate in the immediate future and, with his family, he returned to the house in Saint-Hippolyte.

    Surrounded by his parents, Marie-Julie and Alain, Samuel hopes to be able to resume riding his motorcycle.

    If he returned to work and is considering a return to school, he can no longer train in the gym like before.

    “I have persistent pain in the back. I still have tingling and numbness from time to time, ” said the young man.

    Far from dwelling on his fate, he first of all wants to launch a message of perseverance.

    “I count myself lucky to be alive and not be paralyzed. We can get through it, that is what is important, ” he states.

    His next challenge will be loving the bike with which he has fallen.

    “When I see it, I think back to my accident. I’m still nightmares. At the same time, I want to go back up top. I give myself a year to resume competition, ” says Samuel, who is of the sport of motocross since his childhood.
