Leave St Barts has been a new test for Laeticia Hallyday, marked by pain from the loss of her husband. If for his daughters and to advance the album’s posthumous Johnny, Laeticia faces, behind the scenes, nothing is easy for the young wife of 42 years.
On the 6th of December, it is with words heart-rending that Laeticia Hallyday announced the disappearance of ” her man “. After months of battle against cancer, Johnny no longer had the strength to fight. Despite the pain of losing the one who shared his life for over 20 years, Laeticia had to face and stand : organize the heartfelt homage to the Madeleine church, the funeral to St. Barth, to give as normal a life as possible with his daughters Jade and Joy, manage current business, the stewardship, but also manage the estate.
Since the death of Johnny, this is Laeticia the guardian of the temple, in charge to respect his last wishes, in charge also of finalising with Yarol Poupaud and Sébastien Farran the album’s posthumous star. Despite the criticism about the location of Johnny’s funeral (at St Barth, a choice which was not unanimous), and are already flaws in the beautiful unit displayed on the 9 December at the Madeleine, Laeticia showed that in the difficulty, it was good.
“She will survive” it is with these words that Philippe Labro pays tribute to his courage in the test. But it is still too early to turn the page, do the sorting in the affairs of Johnny in the villa Jade, their paradise. Already it is necessary to sell Marnes-La-Coquette, the house where Johnny pushed his last breath, to empty a house full of memories… A new test for Laeticia, which fortunately can count on the unconditional support of his friends.
