Laval : a pedestrian dies after being struck by a vehicle

LAVAL | pedestrian 90 years died Thursday morning after being struck around 6: 30 a.m. by a vehicle on the boulevard des Laurentides in Laval.

A driver in his twenties, was hit at the intersection of the rue Meunier. The old man stood on the road while the traffic light was red for him.

“There is no criminal element. It has testimonies that corroborate those of the driver. It’s totally accidental,” said the spokesperson for the Service de police de Laval, Evelyne Boudreau.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, where his death has been found.

A security perimeter was established to allow the inspectors to understand the circumstances of this accident.

The boulevard des Laurentides has therefore been closed in both directions between rue Proulx and Tourangeau.
