LG patented a folding smartphone-tablet

LG has patented a hybrid smartphone-tablet with a flexible display, reports Rus.Media.

According to The Verge, the device looks like an ordinary tablet, and thus between the two halves of the frame is missing.

The patent describes the device as “a mobile phone with a flexible display that can be folded in half”.

The design patent shows two versions of a potential phone. The first model is a folding camera phone on the rear panel. When assembling the device may display information, such as on the front screen.

The second model is similar, except when the phone is folded, the rear cover extends to one side, revealing a transparent section on the front right side. This section of the sidebar can be used, for example, to display the time and notifications. The back of the device also has a camera.
