MONTREAL | The boil water advisory that affected the inhabitants of the borough of Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve since Friday was lifted Sunday, the time of the dinner.
Last Friday, the break of a major water pipeline had forced the City to undertake emergency work. Even if the leak had been repaired, the residents in the area located north of Sherbrooke street, from the east of the rue Joseph-A.-Rodier up in Montreal-East and up to the limits of the borough of Anjou” had to boil the water to boil before consuming.
The citizens can once again drink tap water without problem, has assured the Town.
