Québec solidaire has announced that Manon Massé will represent the political training to the leaders ‘ debate during the election campaign of next fall, in addition to being a candidate for the post of first minister.
Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, who also aspired to represent the troops attached to the leaders ‘ debate, the announcement was made Monday in the Coeur des sciences of UQAM, in Montreal, along with Manon Massé.
The co-spokesman said it had chosen to leave the field free to his colleague at the end of a long reflection.
Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois said it would take “maturity” in politics. “I can hardly in partisan politics, it’s been barely a year, he pointed out. […] I still have a lot to learn, I want to continue to grow up and take the ripe.”
“But most importantly, I have even more envy of the field, and meetings as studios for tv and major debates”, he added.
Leaders ‘ debate
Unlike other political parties, Québec solidaire has two spokespersons, rather than a head, this left the question of the identity of a potential prime minister in abeyance.
In the past, Françoise David has represented Québec solidaire during the leaders ‘ debates.
The choice will now be submitted to the vote of the members of the training policy at its national Council on may 12 and 13 next, in Quebec city.
“It is with an immense sense of responsibility that I request today to the members of Québec solidaire to be the one who will lead our movement to victory on the first of October,” said Manon Massé Monday.
“Gabriel’s going to accompany me in this exercise, in this experiment, in the next year, stressed the mp of solidarity. Gabriel, you’re going to be the architect of our movement.”
Last fall, Manon Massé, and Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois have announced their desire to change the function of prime minister, to delegate important powers to the vice-prime minister and parliamentarians. They thus hoped to reduce the partisanship in the national Assembly.
This measure has been submitted to the members of the training, who have postponed the vote on the question.
