Murder attempt in Côte-des-Neiges

    A 38-year-old has been reached by a bullet in the parking lot of an apartment building in the neighborhood of Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal, on Saturday afternoon.

    To 16 h, the police have been called in the garage of the building of the chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, near the intersection with the avenue Decelles. On the spot, they found the man, wounded, still conscious.

    He was transported to the hospital and was always in the evening in a critical condition, said the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Jean-Pierre Brabant. The man is known to police, said Mr Brabant.

    When his condition permits, the investigators can question him to find out more about the circumstances of the attack.

    In the late afternoon, the police dispatched to the scene and talked with witnesses to determine the circumstances of this attempted murder.

    The investigators also examined video from surveillance cameras.

    No arrest has been made.
