Alcatel took advantage of the MWC 2017 to formalize the Alcatel U5, A3 and A3 LED. MeltyStyle takes stock of their features.
Earlier in the day, meltyStyle confided to you that Sony had formalized 3 smartphones, including the Xperia XZ Premium which is really impressive . But the Japanese manufacturer is not the only one to have taken advantage of the official launch day of the MWC to present its novelties … This is also the case of Alcatel, which has just unveiled 3 smartphones live from Barcelona. The Alcatel U5 is clearly defined as the entry-level brand. It has modest features, such as a 1.1 GHz MT6737 MediaTek processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM, an expandable 8 GB storage capacity and a 5-megapixel rear-view camera. Only the autonomy seems suitable, since the U5 has a battery of 2050 mAh.
Also positioned on the entry-level, the Alcatel A3 raises the bar a little. It features a 5-inch HD display, a 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT6737 processor, 1.5 GB of RAM and an expandable 16 GB storage capacity. It also features a 13 megapixel camera at the back and 5 megapixels at the front, as well as a 2460 mAh battery. Finally, the latest smartphone to have been formalized, the Alcatel A5 LED. Still on the entry level, it is a little more attractive than the A3. Why ? Because it has a RAM of 2 GB and a battery of 2800 mAh, and especially because its shell is covered with a LED slab that displays the notifications among others . On the other hand, the screen and the processor remain the same, While the camera displays 8 megapixels at the rear and 5 megapixels at the front. Expected in Europe for the month of May, the U5, A3 and A3 LED will be worth respectively 99 euros, 149 euros and 199 euros.
