National holiday “day of the archip and Philemon” is celebrated on 19 February, old style (March 3 new style – leap year, March 4 – in a non-leap year).

In the Church calendar is the day of remembrance of the apostles from the 70 Archippus, Philemon and the Holy App.

Other names of the holiday: “Philemon”, “Phil spring”, “archip”, “Arkhipov day”, “Spring charms”.

Holy apostles Archippus, Philemon and his spouse Apphia lived in the first century after Christ in the city of Colossa in Phrygia. Studied and assisted the Holy Apostle Paul. Archippus was a Bishop, Philemon and his wife, wealthy citizens. Soon Paul devoted Philemon as a Bishop.
