Norah Jones in Montreal in May 2017

News 7 March, 2017

Norah Jones will perform at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts in Montreal on May 28, 2017.

This show in Montreal is in addition to the North American part of the world tour that Norah Jones announced last December. This tour will start on May 20 with two concerts in Chicago. Until today, Toronto was the only Canadian city to host Norah Jones (twice instead of one) on this tour.

The American singer will come to present Day Breaks , her most recent album appeared on October 7th. Norah Jones returns to his piano for the occasion, and several emphasize that this new record is similar in many respects to his very first career album, Come Away With Me , which appeared exactly 15 years ago. More than 25 million copies of this mythical album have found buyers around the world, making it the seventh best selling album of the 2000s.

Sixth in his discography, Day Breaks includes collaborations with major jazz names including saxophonist Wayne Shorter , keyboardist Dr. Lonnie Smith and drummer Brian Blade. There are 9 original songs as well as three songs by Horace Silver, Duke Ellington and Neil Young.

Tickets ($ 100.50 to $ 124.50) will go on sale on March 10 at 10am here .
