Oscar Pistorius : his treatment in prison of controversy! – Gala

Sentenced to thirteen years and five months in prison for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp, his girlfriend on 14 February 2013, Oscar Pistorius is serving his sentence in the resident of Atteridgeville (a suburb of Pretoria). And according to the information in the DailyMail, the former paralympic champion has conditions more favorable.

This is a VIP treatment which has the right Oscar Pistorius at the correctional centre Atteridgeville, on the outskirts of Pretoria. In fact, the former paralympic champion, would have had to leave the facility since his conviction on 24 November by the Court of appeal in Bloemfontein to thirteen years and five months in prison. The detention centre where he is staying is in theory reserved for convicts whose prison sentence does not exceed six years.

Exception has therefore been made for the six-time paralympic champion in athletics. And at the correctional centre Atteridgeville, “Blade Runner” as he is nicknamed, has according to information from DailyMail conditions preferred due not to his reputation but to his or her disability (Oscar is a double amputee). Atteridgeville is renowned for its infrastructure for people with disabilities. In this respect, Oscar Pistorius has his own bathroom. More surprising, the athlete south african would have according to the DailyMail a vegetable garden where he can grow his own crops. Recall that Oscar Pistorius will remain jailed until at least 2024.
