Over 2,500 skiers expected for the 24h of Tremblant

    MONT-TREMBLANT | For its 17th year, the 24h of Tremblant is expected to welcome over 2500 skiers, walkers and runners, until Sunday. As every year, the profits will go to sick children and disadvantaged of the region.

    Participants, grouped in more than 320 teams, will need to ski or run for 24 h in order to get 3 250 000 $, which will then be distributed between different foundations.

    Live entertainment and many free activities will also take place on the site throughout the weekend.

    The day of Saturday will begin at 11 a.m. with the ceremony starting, and an opening parade.

    In the evening, Mélissa Lavergne celebrated on stage with other artists to make dance the audience. At 22 h, this is the band Simple Plan, who will close out the day at the foot of the slopes.

    The results of the collection will be announced Sunday at 12 a.m. during the closing ceremony.

    Over the past 16 years, more than $ 24 million that were raised during the 24 h of Tremblant.
