Officials of the federal government in a demonstration, Wednesday in several cities of the country, including Montreal, to denounce the chaos caused by the payroll system Phoenix.
As early as 6 a.m., Wednesday morning they were a hundred to gather in front of a federal building on Peel street in Montreal.
“Despite yesterday’s announcement in the budget, it remains that the system is a nightmare for the members for the past two years. Patience to its limits,” said Magali Picard, vice-president of PSAC-Québec, in a press release.
A survey conducted last week by the PSAC-Québec with approximately 2,000 members revealed that 75% of respondents experienced problems with pay for two years.
“Either it makes available to the compensation specialists in the workplaces with full access to the records of pay, either we change the system. But if it is to change the system, it will be necessary to proceed in a structured way and not improvised”, she added.
