If they appear rather seldom in public, François Hollande and Julie Gayet have not hesitated to go together to the screening of the documentary, The Ride, produced by the actress, Friday evening, in Paris.
If they wanted to, François Hollande and his girlfriend Julie Gayet could spend all their evenings in fashionable events. The couple prefers, however, to be discreet, enjoy his friends and not too often show themselves in public. Friday night, however, he put the cap on a cinema hall in the capital. Arrived as a couple at the MK2 Library in front of a few photographers, Julie Gayet and François Hollande were accompanied by a security service that is very discreet. Both have made the trip to attend the first screening of the documentary, the Ride, the ride, directed by Stéphanie Gillard and reflects on the contemporary situation of American Indians. An output that the ex-presidential couple has not chosen at random. Indeed, on hearing about the project two years ago, Julie Gayet had agreed to give a thumbs up to the director. The film is thus largely produced by Red International, the production company that she co-founded eleven years ago.
The long documentary of almost an hour and a half following one of the annual pilgrimages of the tribes, the Sioux and is interested in the heritage handed down by their ancestor. The spectators discover, and recent images as well as photographs of famous ancestors, indians such as the famous Sitting Bull, reputed to have been one of the most stubborn resistance to the advance of the american troops. The adopted son of the legendary Sioux leader, Ron His Horse is Thunder, was precisely this, Friday evening, to attend the screening of the film in Paris. François Hollande and Julie Gayet have been able to share with him and his wife before being reunited with some of their knowledge has also made the move to not miss anything of this documentary. Among them, the actor Pierre Richard, the host, Marc-Olivier Fogiel and the journalist Claire Chazal.
