An elderly man reportedly died in a pile-up involving dozens of cars occurred shortly after 13 h on hwy 20 west at the height of Saint-Hilaire.
“People are stressed, they are waiting in their cars. The emergency services have put ribbons around the cars with the wounded. I have a girl next to me whose car is a total loss,” describes Sebastien Tremblay, whose car has been involved in the pileup.

The highway remains closed to traffic for an indefinite period.
