The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is launching a public appeal to trace potential victims of a Montreal 26-year-old facing numerous charges of a sexual nature for the alleged crimes on teens.

Francis Vadnais, 26 years old, was arrested on 30 November last year and appeared on December 4, at the courthouse in Joliette, where he has been accused of luring, invitation to sexual touching, sexual interference on a person under 16, sexual assault, accessing child pornography, as well as production, possession and distribution of child pornography.

The young man would have raged at least since 2016 in Montreal, Beloeil, Terrebonne, and Lavaltrie.

“He frequented dating sites that are more dedicated to teenagers. Subsequently, it was transferred to the social networks to get in contact with teenage girls. It has been four victims so far, but it is very possible that this person has done to other victims elsewhere in Quebec,” explains the spokesperson of the SQ Eloise Cossette.

According to the police, Vadnais used an account in its name, but also nicknames like “madddmaxxxx”, “Max” and “Maxim”. At the time of the facts, he used a Kia Rio 2013 four-door gray.

The SQ invites anyone who has any information on Francis Vadnais to contact her at 1 800 659-4264.
