Police chase in Lanaudière: the man was summoned to court Monday

    The motorist who triggered a major police chase Saturday morning in Saint-Esprit, in Lanaudière, was summoned to court Monday at the courthouse in Joliette, learned VAT News.

    Charges of hit and run and breach of undertaking will be filed against the 40 year old man, who also refused to pass the screening tests from the alcohol.

    The police officers of the Sûreté du Québec had made to the kits of the motorist at around 9 a.m., Saturday, while it was travelling at an excessive speed at the height of Saint-Esprit, in Lanaudière. The pursuit continued on highways 440 and 640 before ending on highway 25 South, in Laval.

    Along the way, the man was let go several hunting weapons, all of which have been recovered. His name may not be revealed by the police, as long as it has not been formally charged.
