A former vice-president of the firm Roche could be struck off for life by the Order of engineers after pleading guilty Monday of involvement in a system of sharing contracts in the public sector in Boisbriand.
France Michaud was not present on Monday in front of the disciplinary Board of the professional order, by reason of his precarious state of health, but she recognized the voice of her lawyer, having participated in the collusion in Boisbriand from 2002 to 2009.
According to the investigation by the syndic of the Order, it had entered into unlawful agreements with firms BPR-Triax and Group Séguin. Roche had received the large contract for the construction of a sewage treatment plant in Boisbriand.
The syndic of the Order also alleges that Ms. Michaud have co-ordinated a donation system illegal profit of several provincial party.
The trustee has also focused on the disciplinary record of Ms. Michaud, who had received four penalties in 1996 for breaches of integrity.
For all these reasons, the trustee would have liked to impose upon him a financial sanction to Ms. Michaud, but considering the fact that she is without employment, only the radiation on life has been retained.
Moreover, France Michaud had called in 2016 to his criminal conviction for fraud and breach of trust. His case will be heard next month.
