Helmets of firefighters for kids color cartoon “Pat Patrol” are the subject of a recall notice because they can cause fires or burns.

According to Health Canada, a built-in flashlight in the helmet presents an important risk of overheating, which can lead to injuries or a fire. To date, one incident has been reported in Canada and three in the United States.

“The recalled products bear the number of the article 01292093 and date codes 1703RY01, 1603RY01 and 1503RY01,” said Health Canada.

In total, 1534 helmets included in the recall were sold in Canada from September 2015 to November 2017.

Health Canada advises owners of these toys remove the batteries of the flashlights and throw the last. Consumers may also contact the distributor of the product, the american company, Spirit Halloween, for a refund.
