Reminder of microphones and loudspeakers for karaoke

    OTTAWA – Wal-Mart conducts a recall of microphones and speakers for karaoke of the brand Rock Solo Tzumi, since they can overheat and cause injury.

    Three incidents have been reported to the company since 29 January last. In the framework of one of them, the product has exploded, which has caused physical damage while the product has been overheated and has melted in two other incidents. No injury has, however, been reported, said Health Canada in a press release.

    The reminder is for the microphones and speakers for karaoke Rock Solo sold in black (model number 5279 BK – CUP 841351152792) and those sold in rose gold (model number 5280 RG – CUP 841351152808). The products have been sold with a charging cable, micro-USB and an auxiliary cable is micro-USB. The name of the brand is on the microphone.

    Approximately 70,000 of microphones and speakers included in the recall were sold in Canada from November 2017 to January 2018.

    Health Canada advises owners of these products karaoke to stop using it and return it with the packaging in a store, Wal-Mart for a refund.
