MONTREAL – The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) reported receiving a total of 53 denunciations of sexual assault by phone from the opening of a telephone line, temporary, on Thursday.
No fewer than 43 calls were identified Thursday, more than a dozen on Friday morning.
The POLICE encourage the victims to denounce their abusers by calling 514 280-2079. They will come into communication with an investigator from the sexual assault Section. This telephone line temporary is in service from 7 h to 22 h, from Monday to Friday.
Victims who want to report an event of such nature can also go to the police station of their district.
