“Space for the first time showed us, so to speak, “movie with sound”. We have moved from the era of “silent movies to sound. In this case, “soundtrack” creates a neutron star, when converging in a spiral, and the two clash. But “video” is the light that we see after the collision,” commented physicist David Rait, reports Rus.Media.

Scientists were able to capture gravitational waves from the merger, which is referred to as klonoa. It occurred at a distance of 130 million light years from our planet.

Behind the phenomenon was observed in 70 laboratories in different parts of the world.
