As scholars have noted, over the Arctic polar vortex is formed, which spread to the territory of America and Europe. As a result, some European countries (mainly in the West and South) and Canada will plunge into the permafrost, reports Rus.Media.

The storm will cause strong winds and significant temperature decrease. To such conclusion scientists came after computer simulation.

First, climate change will occur in the coming days. The cold will last until the tenth of March. The vortex formed in the Arctic, is divided into two parts: one will rush in Western Canada and the second to Eurasia.

A whirlwind arose in the stratosphere due to sudden warming of this atmospheric layer. In addition to winds, the cause of the cold snap will also be fluctuations in air pressure which will be strongly negative.
