The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) has received 253 calls on its dedicated phone line, put in place last Thursday to protest against sexual assaults in the wake of the business Salvail, and Rozon.

The days of Thursday, Friday and Monday only are included in this balance sheet. It will be updated Wednesday morning.

The telephone line must allow victims of sexual assault to more easily communicate with the police in order to file a complaint.

They are invited to contact an investigator from the sexual assault section at (514) 280-2079.

The service is in place from Monday to Friday, from 7h to 22h.

Outside of the hours of operation of this special line, the people who wish to report an attacker can call 911.
