An elderly man in his sixties was found dead lying in the snow early Monday morning in the neighbourhood of Limoilou, in Quebec city.

The Québec police said he received a call to 6h42 to indicate the presence of a dead body in a parking lot located near the 470, boulevard of the Capuchins.

“It is a passer-by who would have found. Our police officers are moved on the scene and found the death of the man on the spot”, said a spokesperson for the police, Cindy Paré, who could not tell if marks of violence were found on the body of the victim.

The police investigation to establish the cause of death. A perimeter has been established by the authorities to allow investigators and forensic identification officers to do their work.
