    In an advertisement published in le Journal de Montréal, the collective, which consists of about one hundred members, deplores the guidelines of the government of Justin Trudeau, which allows Netflix and other online companies to “evade the taxes that all businesses must take”.

    The minister of Finance, Carlos Leitao, and his colleague in the Culture, Marie Montpetit, recalled Wednesday morning that Quebec asks Ottawa to require that the Web giants require the QST and the GST to their users.

    “For me, it is a matter of integrity of the tax system, and therefore, I always encourage everyone to do what we can to ensure this integrity,” said Carlos Leitao.
