The head of the diplomacy of iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif criticizes “extremism” which are a part of, according to him, the countries of the european Union vis-à-vis Iran, in an interview published Monday, a few hours before a meeting with his French counterpart in Tehran.
“To keep the United States in the agreement on the iranian nuclear issue, the european countries are suffering from extremism, and it will hurt in the end to the policy of Europe,” Mr. Zarif in the interview published by the newspaper, a reformist Etemad.
Mr. Zarif is to meet Monday mid-day the French minister of foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian.
It has the intention to ask the federal islamic Republic of the gages on its ballistic program and its regional ambitions in order to try to save the agreement on the iranian nuclear from 2015, including the United States threaten to withdraw.
But “any action to meet the party that has the most violated nuclear deal is pointless,” warns Mr. Zarif in interview with Etemad.
“At the present time, two groups have violated the nuclear deal: the United States and the Europeans. The Americans because of the policy of Washington and the Europeans because of the policy of the United States,” he said.
“The Europeans, because of the policy of the United States have not been able to meet their commitments, in particular in the banking domain. Therefore these two groups are not in a position to set conditions for the country which has fully implemented its commitments”, adds the minister of iran.
While Paris accuses Iran referred to the “hegemonic” in the Near and Middle East, Mr. Zarif recalled the grievances of the islamic Republic against the West and warns the Europeans.
He denounces the support given by the West to Iraq against Iran during the war between these two countries in 1980 and 1988, and the political and military support that are today the United States, France and Great Britain to “the aggressor” that is saudi Arabia in the conflict in Yemen.
The Europeans “have made false choices, and they regretted it. Even today, they are committing the same error, and very certainly they are going to regret it,” said Mr. Zarif.
