Laurianne Rossi, member of parliament for the Republic in march, has been violently attacked by a man this morning in a market in Bagneux, in the constituency of the Hauts-de-Seine. The individual was immediately taken into custody.

Laurianne Rossi, member of parliament for the last few weeks of the 11th constituency Of the Hauts-de-Seine, was distributed this morning of the leaflets in a market in the company of other activists when she was taken away by a man hostile to the policy of Emmanuel Macron. Still shaken by the assault, the young woman of 33 years confided to the microphone of Franceinfo on the way in which the situation has degenerated : ” He spoke of deputies godillots but the exchange was quiet. (…) I started to answer him, but I have not had time to finish. He told me assené a violent punch in the right temple and fled. “ Quickly caught up by militants and the police, the man was placed in police custody. An assault that is reminiscent of the one which has been the victim NathalieKosciusko Morizet in the month of June and that is indicative of a climate of violence against women involved in politics.

Laurianne Rossi, despite his young age, is yet accustomed to the exercise. Born in the Var, she has conducted brilliant studies at the Institute of political studies of Aix-en-Provence and then at the Sorbonne before embarking very early on in the socialist Party. After having been for two years a collaborator of parliamentary senator PS Yves Krattinger she then joined the general management of the Public Office of the Habitat of Paris. A specialist in issues of mobility and land use planning it has become in 2015 Director of development and communication of the Institute of infrastructures for mobility before joining the company, the SNCF’s Network for which she worked until her election last June. Laurianne Rossi is also a support of the first hour of Emmanuel Macron, and therefore a prime target for its detractors. Engaging with the new president of the republic as early as 2016, she becomes, in September of last year the adviser of the movement in the Hauts-de-Seine, seduced, as she confided recently in Paris by the speech ” bold ” and ” contrary to the rigidities of the traditional parties ” of the former minister of economy, François Hollande.

Laurianne Rossi, who is also one of the three Quaestors of the national Assembly and is therefore part of the budgeting and control of expenditure, is expressed on Twitter to thank its many supporters : ” No political disagreement can not justify the violence, which is against the elect of the republic and the women. Thank you for your support. “ The prime minister Edouard Philippe has also used Twitter to condemn the attack : “ I condemn with the greatest firmness the cowardly assault at Bagneux this morning of the member @lauriannerossi, who has my friendship & my support. ”

If the condemnation of the political class is unanimous, it is now up to the justice to do its work. Laurianne Rossi has filed a complaint.
